Typology description - Interpret
All ESP (Interpret, Dynamo) are practical and matter-of-fact people, adaptable realists with great ability to accept and enjoy the world as it is, and they do not bother with how the world could be. At the same time, ESP are without prejudices, they are forthcoming towards opinions of others, are patient, tolerant; people easy to get along with.
In general, ESP can manifest in three ways:
- By having a talent for machines and mechanisms, by masterly managing instruments and materials in arts or crafts, or in the ability to be knowledgeable in a quality, colour, composition of technological characteristics of the most various things
- By having skills to acquire various facts and details even from realities which at first sight look rather unrelated, to remember them and to know how to use them.
- In constant perceptiveness to requirements of a situation in which they are instantly ready to react to them in an appropriate manner.
Knowledge must take a particular form. According to them, knowledge cannot be acquired on seminar or from guidelines but from plunging into the activity.
Interprets (hereinafter ESFP) are kind, personally charming, eloquent, and it is easy to get along with them due to their positive attitude towards people. Out of all types they are the most generous and are sought after companions, friends and partners. Similarly to ESTP, they account for around 13 %. They differ from them in that they can empathize with the mood of other people. They are naturally friendly and open, able to find in people mostly the best in them, and they can also awaken it in them.
They do not like long isolation and solitude, and therefore look for companionship at every occasion. They like to be smartly dressed, their food is varied, and they enjoy preparing something for others. They have a tendency to act impulsively what makes them easier target for different temptations or even frauds. Easily succumb to advertising and various promotional campaigns.
As colleagues, superior, parents and friends ESFP are friendly, entertaining, source of inspiration and excitement. If, however, problems, stressful situation, time or other pressure arises, they start to be restless and would rather find themselves somewhere else. Simply, they have a low level of tolerance to stress. Rather than showing their dissatisfaction with the way in which things are, causing a stir or actively resisting, they pretend not to know anything, or that it does not concern them, and they try to wriggle out of the thing asap.
Even in adult life ESFP remain into a large extent playful children; it is not a problem for them to engage in their games, to fool around with them.
Punctuality and thoroughness is not really their strength. However, they do not miss social events such as name day and birthday and anniversaries of those whom they like. They are often the first ones who learn rumours of all sorts.
Usually they are not the strongest ones in logical analysis, and they do not possess a fully developed ability to creatively and constructively criticise. In any case, when negotiating they are strongly grounded in their own and very private experience while showing strong sense for reality and proving a significant portion of what is called 'healthy' or 'common' sense.
Their great interpersonal skills, however, often work until others do not get of their sight. Relationships are real as long as they are concrete here and now. They do not like taught and theoretical matters or abstractions. Their occurrence in scientific circles is rare since sometimes they are not in picture; they do not see 'the big picture' and the wood for trees. They do not have to always see the consequences of their actions.
Without reasonably developed introvert sentiments which give them the set of values, sentiment of self-respect and inner order, they can behave like social chameleons, without own opinion, without the ability to adapt to current circumstances. They are not patient in relation to information or activities that have no connection with their current interests or skills. Sometimes they may appear to be superficial persons who chase off all deeper concerns and problems.
Since their main objective is a specific delight, their moral is oriented accordingly. This does not mean that these people are necessarily lascivious, shallow pleasure seekers. Their desire may result in aesthetic forms of expertise in art. In both personal and professional life, under the surface of a nice person amoral and merciless person with tendencies to obsessive jealousy or pathological disposition to using people and things only for their own needs can hide.
