Typology description - Marshal

Allegedly, only 5 % of people of this group is found in population Marshals (hereinafter ENTJ) have a great desire to have things under control. Unlike ESTJ, it is not sufficient for them to make practical things, they want to manage them, to be leader, to command, to improve them. Capable of inventively organise activity of different people, to bring objectives, strategies and expectations into line, to set responsibility, and to demand dutifulness. They are a bit like INTJ, however, their intuition is not hovering in the air but is firmly on the ground. ENTJ will strive for better organisation of fox-hunting but they will not ask why shall the fox be caught. Their inner power and need is a desire to lead. This propensity begins to emerge already at a young age when they make efforts to influence other children. They simply know how things should be, and how to achieve it. As if they assumed that others simply do not have this ability to see things so clearly, and that it would be loss of time to explain it to them.

They quickly separate the world around them, generalise things and do not find in it proofs for their assumptions. They have a great sense of practicality and also some kind of pitiless straight pragmatism. Their attentiveness immediately catches unnecessary or non-functional elements of the system, and their efforts is almost automatically directed towards their elimination. Fundamentally they hate useless efforts, repeated mistakes and the need to say something twice.

They reveal, without any mercy, an incorrect or illogical premise or unjustified conclusion that does not stem from the previous one, and immediately they will try to deal with correction. Life for them is unwinding in confrontations, debates and meetings with the view to learn something and to improve themselves. This way of communication should not in any way be taken personally, and it does not have anything in common with whether people are or are not sympathetic to them.

What they care about is only to acquire information, nothing more or less. ENTJ like exchange of opinions and it does not matter whether the result of the debate confirms their truth or not. They respect people who challenge them in disputation. Those who are not able to present and defend their own opinion, and who let themselves be intimidated, are for them 'the air'.

ENTJ can be persuasive, express themselves clearly and concisely, capture the essence of things. This makes them great communicators in leading of their people. They expect that their partners at work and in personal life will also be strong personalities who do not get scared of sporadic confrontation, that they will be individual beings with healthy self-confidence.

Well-developed ENTJ have, so to say, magical skills to see things from multiple point of views, to approach them with clear mind which is not used for making judgements only but also as a means of relationship to others. They have a special gift not just to see things that any particular situation brings but also an extraordinary ability and power to realise them. Successful ENTJ are characterised by the fact that they are able to balance their visions and relevant realities.
